WordPress 2.0
Released.
www.wordpress.org I just started playing around with it...EXCELLENT additions. Tons of new features to make everyone's life a bit easier. :) Check it out |
Simple WYSIWYG editor too :)
|
cool.. what's new?
|
The biggest change would be the way you make your posts. You can now use a simple built-in WYSIWYG editor as well as upload on the spot. The Write Post page is dynamically positionable, allowing you to see only what you want to see where you want to see it.
Just check it out. www.wordpress.org |
how was the upgrade bangman ?
|
Easy, but you have to make sure you remove/disable ALL plugins, much like prior upgrades.
|
k gonna update my blogs tomorrow.. thanks for the heads up
|
I'm having trouble re-enabling php in posts (via phpexec) on one of my blogs, but other than that everything is smooth.
|

looks like a good release, thanks for the heads up...
|
Be careful with the updates, even though this is a "stable" release there are always problems, especially with any custom work you have done or plugins.
Limit the upgrades to your secondary blogs, at least until you know the script will work flawlessly with your main blogs. As always, when making any script change with WP, BACKUP YOUR DATABASE! :) |

Wooohooo, i'm exicted.. is it easy to upgrade?
|
On your new theme selector page (http://www.domain.com/wp-admin/themes.php) I'm assuming the boxes are for a quick preview of the theme before selection. Though almost useless, this would be a neat little function if it worked.

Check out this plugin that comes with the release: http://akismet.com/
Goodbye comment spam :) |
I'll wait a couple of weeks to make sure all the bugs are gone. They're still reporting some on the support forums. Plus, there are plugins that I absolutely need (like being able to use duplicate titles) that would lead to many 404s. It looks real good though, can't wait to try it out.

Doesn't look like the FeedWordpress plugin is listed, that I can see. That's one I want to use, or something similiar.
