Does anyone own a Canon SD 450 Digital Camera
I got the Canon SD450 for Christmas this year. I've played around with it for a few days now. The camera doesn't seem to have a battery meter. The other day it said low battery and then shut off on the next pic. That's not enough warning.
Does anyone who owns this know how to tell the status of the battery?? Thanks |
I just got one and I haven't been able to find the battery meter either - in fact, I was bitching about that today :(

Looks like there isn't one since 2 folks complained about it :( |
there isn't one.. I got the SD 500/Ixus 700 and they still haven't gotten around to putting in a battery indicator.. other than that they are great little cams.. :)

My (much older) Powershot A200 does the same thing. The low battery warning flashes about 30 seconds before it dies completely.
If you use the flash then you can get a rough idea, the more the batteries are drained the longer it takes to recharge. |
I think that's the one I'v seen on a commercial. Damn, I wish I could have that.. :(

I think i'm going to return it.
You can't really go by how many pics you take, because a lot depends on how many shots used the flash and how long the lcd has been on. I like the size alot, but tested it against my sis's Kodak V550 that she just got. Her pics had much better color and they where sharper. I'm also going to look into the casio exlim s500. |
