defunct.

The Internet will be dominated by many big players who will pay top dollar for good images.

While protecting the business by coming together to sue the arse off of any pirates.

The idea of putting up a site with a couple of content discs purchased for $200 and becoming rich overnight will be long gone.

To enter into the business you will have to serve a minimum two year apprentiship with a passing out exam at the end.

I will also be elected as the king of Europe, with nubile 18+ virgins attending my every need.

Plus Eva will give me something better to write with than this crayon and unlock the door to my room
:thumbsup

FlyingIguana 04-04-2002 02:22 PM

you'll have much better quality paysites, less cookie cutter sites with shitty streams and no updates. might be a large weeding out process going on in the next couple years as conversions get worse and more ppl move away from getting porn from websites.

proffitmaster 04-04-2002 03:57 PM

You will be able to get Master Of Porn degree

jimmyf 04-04-2002 04:04 PM

Can join porn site's with only Master Card, Visa and Amex goes broke or Master Card buy's 1 or both of them.

Theo 04-04-2002 04:10 PM

spacedogrevenueservice will rule

Scootermuze 04-04-2002 05:04 PM

Holography interfaces where the movies you watch can appear as though the performers are in your room..
Not such a far fetched concept.. :)

Joe Blow 04-04-2002 05:13 PM

As long as there is wanking there will be porn... I say in five years it will be much bigger. Broadband will see to that.

LiveDose 04-04-2002 05:14 PM

5% making a living in the adult web and 95% whining and complaining just like it is today!

I think porn makes up something like just 1% or .1% of the Internet, read this some place once.... Does anyone know?

Pipecrew 04-04-2002 05:30 PM

1000's of sponsorship companies are going to realize movies are the way to go and you will see alot more Adultbouncer type systems

LiveDose 04-04-2002 05:31 PM

I was only talking about adult webmasters not the net as a whole...

Jimmy I think it is much more than that but I could be wrong. Guess it depends on what you read.

cherrylula 04-04-2002 05:34 PM

Porn has gotta be like 75% of the internet..... and yes I agree, as long as there is wanking there will be internet porn.

In five years I will be a very rich person, thats all I really give a fuuuck about. :D

I smoke pot too, and thats illegal. I do foresee a lot of tightening up on the reigns.... probably for the best.

They say a new internet virgin signs on every 6 seconds..... that's enough motivation to keep me going. What is the first thing YOU did when you got online??? SEARCH FOR PORN!!!

chodadog 04-04-2002 05:41 PM

I hope to start an online adult store.. probably open up a few more sites... same old...

tha_timinator 04-04-2002 07:03 PM

let's hope the USA culture will become even more pathetic about sex... coz that's a _very_ important aspect of the success of online porn... if it wasn't such a big issue in a large part of the world (primarily USA) there would be much less desperate freaked people searching for porn on the web coz that's their only option for wankingmaterial...

:2 cents:

Blastsex 04-04-2002 11:49 PM

I see broadband coming soon!
That thing is going to change all!

hopefully me with a shit load more $$$

jennycards 04-04-2002 11:56 PM

I guess our industry will be in a similar position as the music industry today: Massive pirating leading to falling revenues.

So for me the question is: How can we avoid getting into that position WITHOUT changing the laws (nobody is going to change a law to protect adult webmaster's interests). What kind of content and new technologies are necessary to keep customers paying us?

Of course broad band will be one ruling base technology.
Another will be UMTS (in Europe at least) ... I spoke to a guy the other day who told me that porn is actually part of the big telcos UMTS business plans.

One thing I am sure about: In 5 years time you can't make a living from TGs, TGPs or CJs.

Peace!

FlyingIguana 04-04-2002 11:57 PM

i duno about the adult industry, but maybe these penis pills will kick in by then :winkwink:

Man! Is that going to be faster than cable? I can't wait this shit is soooo slow...LOL

woodyxxx 04-05-2002 12:13 PM

What? you find it slow on cable? Are you sure it isn't a 56k you have? lol just joking :thumbsup

cherrylula 04-05-2002 12:27 PM

All I can say is I think those who use HONEST approaches in their marketing will have the advantage over those who don't in the future.

I am SO fucking tired of signing up for partner programs to promote a site, then I login and get their tools and its some fucking bullshit program that pops banners and some other bullshit and has NOTHING to do with the original site I clicked through on. I will refrain from mentioning the sponsor names as to not start any shit.

But when the fuck are people going to start representing what they offer in an HONEST and straight forward manner??? I'm so sick of "free" bullshit that is nothing but an OLD and fucking overused marketing strategy.

I have traffic that likes to spend money and buy shit... but I am not going to EVER try and sell them some bullshit that some of these big companies try to get you to promote.

Some people need to get a fucking clue.

XXXPaysiteDesign 04-05-2002 12:59 PM

same ol same ol.. except there will be a lot more webmasters and conversions will be lower than they already are.

Seaz 04-05-2002 01:06 PM

In 5 years we are all gonna be rich so fuck the industry :thumbsup

The law does not need to be changed. There are adequate laws already.

What we need to do is come together and back those who are trying police the net.

At the moment APIC is brining down two infringers, one a site harvesting from newsgroups, the other downloadablecontent.com.

Come together or fall by the wayside, the choice is yours. don't just whinge.

Virginie 04-05-2002 01:39 PM

I see more and more niches... more and more strange things... Less new players since the market will be saturated... As far as I am concerned I think it is already saturated in terms of mainstream... only really underground stuff will be able to get some of the market shares...

well my 2 cents
