Two 19" or one 24" monitor, which one would you rather have?
 

assuming the price of two 19" monitors and one 24" monitor came to about the same, which one would you go for?

one big ass 24 incher

2 x 19" [I'm currently using 3x 19"]
Widescreen is nice, but I don't find it practical when doing work. It's more for games/movies.

2 19 inch ones. I already have a 21 and I woudl rather have 2 smaller ones.

2 19's ... i like having some applications always open on one side ... and being able to move stuff to the side ..it just seems to let me organize stuff better.

I love my 2 19's.

Considering you can get 2 decent 19" LCDs for $400 + tax, I'd go that route since a 24" LCD is gonna be way out of my price range. I've got 1 19" LCD right now, and I'm uber happy with it.

two 19 if you are going to multi task. 1 24 if you are going to play games.

I have two 19 at the office for work and 1 37 at the house for games.

I'm looking into get another 19'' widescreen for my primary work computer :)

The workspace possibilities are endless :)

one 24" monitor, i'm a programmer and like to see as much code on the screen at one time as i can.

Wow that is cheap. Here you get one decent 19" for that price.

Fine like 36inch viewability cause there is a 1inch border on each.
So thats 18 inches of GFY and 18 inches of Photoshop at the same time.

I'd go the dual 19" route. I am actually looking at doing that myself since I have a 19" presently. Unless you're planning on sitting across the room to work a single 24" is overkill. IMHO of course.

2 19's. I'd much rather have a dual monitor setup.

2 19's... Sometimes you work on something and it just isn't enough to send it to the task bar - minimized... If it is really bothering you it is liberating to punish it by throwing the problem onto the other monitor... Then you can work on the new shit and know that it misses being on the production monitor... fucking stupid window... behave!

I went to two a while back (they are not matched, one 20, one 19)... the 20 is used for all the main stuff, and the 19 gets all the shit work, like mail, IM, and anything else that might "pop up". I am still having fun teaching myself to open stuff in two screens to copy stuff... it isn't natural after all these years but it sure works well when I think about it.

I started with dual 17's and now have dual 21 inch widescreens

what kinda mother board do you have,,, i tried to set up a 3 montor on my Dell but i only have 1 slot for the geforce 6800 card,,

A easier solution IMO is to use your notebook's screen as your third computer monitor. There a few cheap softwares that will allow you do do this....
