Accounting / Tax Question
 

I received a bunch of checks today, all dated 12/26/05. Obviously I wont be able to deposit them untill 06.

Do i report them as revenue for 05 or 06? In otherwords is it the date on the check or the date of deposit into my bank that determines which year the revenue should be allocated to?

Revenue is earned when it's earned -- your trip to the bank doesn't change that...

yep 2005 do you have a accountant if you dont they are worth it.

Yea i do have an accountant that i use for taxes but not for day to day operations, and i do agree - worth every penny.
