Stay the FUCK away from registerfly!
This is my fault for not monitoring my credit card statement. But in december I made 1 purchase for $29.97. I recieve my credit card statement today.. 3 charges for $29.97 and FOUR MOTHER FUCKING charges for $9.99. What the fuck is this shit? I can't do shit about it they don't answer their phone. Their 'rapid response' support ticket said 'we have forwarded this to our billing department'. Im ready to sue these people but Im not that smart with this stuff. Does anyone know about class action lawsuits? I can only imagine when I get all my new statements sent to me via snail mail how many erroneous charges there will be.

bad thread to make on 12/31/2005 at 11:36pm EST
Hey, I wasn't going there anyway but thanks for the heads-up!
I agree with Bdjuf
The only thing I can do is dispute all the charges through AMEX they are very nice. And then transfer all the domains I care about away from registerfly. I'm going to cancel my AMEX card so they can't do further charges.
Why is this a bad thread to make at this time?
bump for a bullshit company!
i get massive emails all the time from them, i used to use them for .ca domains. bad idea.
I used them for 1 domain only, and had no problem, but it's good to know what happened to you ...

i've never had a problem with them i'm sure there'll sort it out if you contact them.
I have never had a problem with them!
transfer & chargeback.
support is aweful, been running after them for two weeks now, no reply yet either by email or support ticket
Dispute the chartges with Amex. Askl Amex to issue you a new card with a new number, and tell them why. They will.
Then get all your new domains with www.namecheap.com |
Didn't you already make a thread about this where you said you had accidentally clicked multiple times on the signup?
I use dotster, they are a bit more money, but Ive never had a problem, and the domains propogate nearly instantly. You usually can find a coupon code to use for dotster too. I use FREEMONEY code that makes them 9.95. There are alot doing them for 7 bucks out there, but its worth the 3 bucks for a reliable domain name to me. :thumbsup
i use registerfly andthe email and ticket support sucks, but my experience with the phone support is very good, every issue i had was solved fast.
Right now im with www.moniker.com and they are defo worth checking out ;) |
you may have ordered some extra services and didn't realize it.
i have about 50 names with them and never had a problem with them. some names 5 years old. |
I love Registerfly hate threads. Fuck them and thier non-existant support and shitty service. :321GFY

Hate all registrars - hate dealing with em. One moment they are OK, then a total fuckup and harassment.
The irony is they are paid for the crap service?? :winkwink: |
i LOVE registerfly... I've been through hundreds and hundreds of domains with them and I usually keep at least 20-30 at any given time with them. Their support has always been great for me, especially the live person support via their website.
I still can't believe in this day and age that programmers cannot code a unique ID into the "submit payment" script. If it has already been seen in the last 24h, print an error saying you've already been charged. How hard is that?
never had any problems with them.

I tried calling phone support several different times and it feels bad when I get hung up on after 20 minutes of hold time. I was mad so I made this thread Ill stick to one next time.
