I was visiting the home of my most excellent friend, Jeff this Fall. It was my first visit to his home. What a PAD! And he has a secret roommate you just HAVE to meet. After a few vodka cranberries and some posting of jokes to our blogs, we decided to eat. In the alley, behind Jeff's building (which from the outside you'd swear is a dump) roommate and I were waiting for Jeff to bring around the car. On a weird impulse, I walk over to this big, dirty rusty iron platform "thing" that one of the businesses who share the alley with Jeff must still use for unloading (and load) types of things. It is covered in layers of bum urine and stinks to high hell. But, on another weird impulse, I reach into a corner of ancient, rusted metal that is coated with about 3 inches of mineralized bum urine. Sitting in a still-damp puddle of recent uring I found the above object. I can't tell you what a shock it was to find such a gorgeous thing in a place like that. Of course, I never let it out of my sight after that. It's sitting on my desk right now...

I was looking maybe for some incidental fotos of the object on my other friend's site, and there may be. Pretty sure I showed this to a few people I met at the hotel. I was calling it the "Best Bum Fight Spectator Award" - I think there was awardsy type stuff going on, to judge from all the limos and glam -- :)
