I have been thinking of registering a business name and getting tax ID # for my online workings. Is this a good idea? and if so where do I go to register a business?

In toronto its this place on King Str. You stay in line for 20mins fill out a sheet and get a business. As easy as one, three, five.

you have to register the biz with the government.... ask them for info, there're lots of companies that claim that they register your business but thats bullshit...

Before you do... You REALLY should contact a good attorney that specializes in this field and also has accountcy experience. Call and see what info he-she would need to see so that you can round it up before the visit. Get their opinion if it will benefit or hurt you to do the registered company thing etc. Sometimes a soul proprietorship is better so you would be (exp) Dave Jones dba Jones Porn Empire (Inc or no Inc). :winkwink:

Go to City Hall pay $70 and you are all set :)

So liek a county building or do I go to a state building or a federal building? We have alll three in this great place I live@
