NFL Coach Firings: Let the Blood-Letting Begin.....
First Tice is gone, now Martz from the Rams........I have at least 8 coaches going and even up to 10 in total (2 to retirement perhaps):
Mike Tice (Vikings) FIRED Mike Martz (Rams) FIRED Norv Turner (Raiders) soon gone Dick Jauron (Lions) soon gone Sherman (Packers) will be gone Jim Haslett (Saints) soon gone Mike Mularkey (Bills) soon gone Dom Capers (Texans) SOON GONE Dick Vermeil (Chiefs) retired and yes, Bill Parcells (Cowboys) MAY retire |
All of those except I'm not sold on Parcells. I really think this media stuff about him retiring is a negotiation ploy. In most cases, coaches never retire, they cant stay away. They coach until no one wants them anymore.
Example: Joe Gibbs however, if Parcells had to make a decision today after what happened yesterday, he might retire, but I dont think that is the case. Jerry Jones said their negotiation should take about 15 minutes. |
Yeah, monday after the season sucks for coaches.

and then get fired... And have people lining up to offer you a new job. I doubt many fired NFL coaches end up on foodstamps. :321GFY |

big turnover in coaches this year.
|
I don't think Mularkey for the Bills will be fired. We are kind of hoping this will happen but I doubt it. 2 years in under an idiot GM (Tom Donahoe). He will probably get one more year.
Tom Donahoe should be gone by the end of this week though. Any Pitt fans want that piece of shit back? He ran us into the ground. |
the disgrace in all of this is that Matt Millen, one of the most imcompetent GM's in NFL history, will get to keep his job with the Detroit Lions while everything around him collapses to the ground.
|
Add Capers to the GONE list
He'll miss the Reggie Bush draft |

not sure about past years, but i find it hard to fire sherman after all the injuries this past year, same thing with tice who salvaged a season after culpepper's injury and losing moss.
capers has gotta go, same with jauron. |
Woohoooo Haslet is gone. We have the second pick in the draft too.
Hello Matt Lienert welcome to the big easy! |

That's pretty rough firing Haslett.

That team had enough talent to get deep in the playoffs, just plain bad coaching and a bad system. |
Brett will retire now with sherman gone
|
and the musical chairs, go round and round. Whos going to get rehired? :upsidedow
|
I wonder what obscure shitty coach the Fords and Millen will find to hire on and knock the Lions down another peg on the respectibility ladder.
|
what about Matt Millen in Detroit. I know he's not a head coach, but I'm suprised the owner would keep him at his position.
|
Jauron doesnt count.....He was never there to begin with.
Martz has been gone for awhile. Parcells = overrated The first person on the firing list should be Matt Millen, GM for the Lions. Id like to see more protests from my fellow Lions fans to try and persuade the Fords to remove Millen. http://www.firemillen.com/ http://www.millensucks.com/ |
