Grizzly Man DVD...

I'm off to go watch the DVD called "Grizzly Man". I keep hearing that it's very good, so well see. If anyone has seen it yet post some remarks as I'd love to read the when I get back online. From what others have told me his story is pretty great; he's sort of a suicidal "surfer dude" from Malibu that has a love for Alaskan black bears...gotta love how the story ends though, right :)

People need to understand that animals ARE animals and that they don't think like us, well, most of us anyway ;) Ok, off to the wing of the mansion with the TV in it!

So how was it??

Did you finish it yet??

wow! What a very strange but very good movie. Yes, he his quite the crazy character and at times he really seems to lose his mind, but I guess that's to be expected living alone out there for such long periods of time (if that's what it was from :upsidedow ). He really considerd himself to be more of a bear than a human...he had no weapons and was not concerned for his well-being as much as one would think around these wild and deadly animals. I would say this movie is certianly worth renting, however, I don't want to spoil the movie for any of you that plan on watching it.

It wasn't what I expected which is why I think it kept me watching.

Thanks for the -- :thumbsup -- I am a big fan of Deutsches Direktor Werner Herzog. Ever see "Aguirre, the Wrath of God" -- ? Same theme, sorta.

"Spanish conquistadores in search of the legendary El Dorado. A whole army disappears into the jungle without a trace. A story of power and madness."

He called this his "therapy" . he was a drug addict and turned his addictive to a new and very dangerous venue.. got to hand it to him, the crazy really did live with the most ferocious creatures on earth.. for 13 seasons he was there. He fucked up bringing a woman into his ventures.

Was the ending gruesome?

I can't believe the ending footage was never leaked to the Internet yet. From what I understand they don't show the footage in the movie, they show a shot of someone listening to the footage and show their reaction.

I think alls they had was sound ... it seems in the attack the camera was turned on but not focused on anything so alls they got was the audio.

looks really interesting i'll have to check it out

Yea, there was only audio of thier last min.'s alive. Supposedly you can hear Tim getting slashed up while his GF hits the bear repeadly with a frying pan as he yells at her to run away. The director of the movie is shown listening to it and the first thing he tells Tim's friend who let him listen to it was that she needs to never listen to it again and she needs to destroy it, in which she agree's; they both are very drained & shook up after hearing it.

Someone told me that they heard some of the audio on a 20/20 or dateline type show a while back, but I find that hard to belive. I too am shocked that nothing has popped up on the net yet.

On a side note, the song they play at the end of the movie is quite strange and to top it off it has been stuck in my head ever since...you'll have to hear it.

Sounds like I'll have to rent this one. Can it be picked up at the local blockbuster?
