"Gary Jones, president and CEO of eMagin Corp. of Bellevue, demonstrates his company's new wearable display for video iPods. Using the EyeBud headset is akin to watching a 105-inch display from 12 feet away. "Suddenly you've got this big-screen, movie-screen, home-theater experience wherever you are," he says"

The related link article said it will cost $200 more than the 60 Gig Video iPod.

They might sell a few, but I don't think they'll sell like the iPod does at that price.

That's the coolest thing I have seen for ages!

having one of those would actually maker having an Ipod Video worthwhile for me.

As soon as they figure out a way to make this thing look cool and cost less it will be a big deal. Right now you look rediculous wearing one. Ive seen companies working on technology that will actually display video screens in your sunglasses or reading glasses.. tell me that wont make mobile porn sell through the roof.

As it stands right now though, this gadget is cool but i doubt it will do well

nice itll take a while imho before thats 100 bucks or so

The same could have been said for a lot of technology. There is a market for this and I'm sure volume and time will decrease production costs and lower the consumer price.

very interesting wonder how it is on the eyes when you use it long term

Yea im sure all the early adopters out there with cash to spare are drooling over this thing. If i had the cash lying around I'd get one. It would be cooler though if it had a display for one screen over both eyes.

Needs to be a flip down thing. Like sunglasses you wear over your regular glasses. And not just one eye, that would bug me.

How shitty does a 250x250 (or close to it) .MP4 look when 'virtually' blown up to a big screen image?
