Working on a long term plan and just wanted to know what my cost exposure is for 4000 GB a month data transfer...at Dreamhost it's about $800/mo...

Depends in what is going to be the uses, what sort of network does the host have (multihomed, BGP,etc..), the hardware, support provided,etc.etc..

Go with 2 boxes load balanced ( round robin ) ... cost you less, have redundancy, will never be 100% down ( only half if failure ) , etc ...

400.00/month should set you up.

I really didn't investigate prices, because there is no point ... The only thing I wanted to get accross is that you could get way cheaper one way or the other :thumbsup
