Motley Crue

I really hope they ll do an album soon... i miss them and that period ... Motley rock! Some one live in L.A. and saw them sometime somewhere?

GFX Wiz 01-04-2006 07:58 AM

They are making a new album, genious. And if you want a taste of them live, get their new DVD...it's pretty cool. Vince is dead and bloated but sounded really good on the real early shit. Tommy is an animal, as ever....Nikki's "solo" was just plain bizarre and poor Mick is losing his fight to that degenerative disease he has but is still up there ripping away.

Tapaz 01-04-2006 08:14 AM

Tapaz 01-04-2006 08:28 AM

Classic band? LOLLOLOLOL , well you can define them in any way but not CLASSIC LOL

pawsregd 01-04-2006 08:34 AM

Glamour metal bands were all the rave in th eighties so definitely a classic band from that time period :thumbsup

Crue was my first show ever in 1987. White Snake opened up for them! It RoXed out hard man...

They don't make shows like that anymore sadly to say. It was a theatrical performance mixed with music... This is why I can no longer justify spending all this money on concerts.

The only shows I look forward to is Floyd and or Waters and Rush.

I saw them in '85 with Loudness opening up...at Alpine Valley, WI. Great venue...great show.

And yes...they are considered "classic" by definition...but timeless to those who love them.

Tapaz 01-04-2006 08:52 AM

I do bloody love them, I collected merch from them , some cool shirt and stuff!

cuda 01-04-2006 09:20 AM

I just saw them in August at Jones Beach. Show rocked but Mick could barely move..He walked off at one point, prob to take a rest in the middle of a song and Vince had to call him back. Poor bastard!

SykkBoy 01-04-2006 10:20 AM

the Carnival Of Sins DVD rocked...it was strange hearing Vince sing some of the older songs in a different key, but I liked it once I got used to it...at least he sounds better than he did several years ago when he could barely get through a verse without being out of breath...he still has that annoying habit of dropping words from some of the songs...

It's tough watching Mick lose his fight with that disease, but he still plays well and it's great to see him out there even if he doesn't look so good these days.

Nikki still looks like he did the first time I saw Motley Crue live back in 84 opening for Ozzy

This show was proof that they just don't make them like they used to...today's bands charge more for tickets and give less show...Motley was still a pricey ticket, but worth every penny and I hope they make another swing through Vegas as they continue to tour through 2006.

I am fairly certain they are just hitting make up dates and cities they didn't hit then they are going into the studio.

Mick's situation is a damn shame...if you read The Dirt you'd realize he's doing it for the money...but I am amazed he can get out there for 2+ hours a night in his current condition...and no shows have been cancelled due to his condition. He's a trooper!

ShaneRyale 01-04-2006 12:06 PM

I saw them in concert about 3 months ago. They put on a great show!

yeah, that's the plan, but there are a lot of open dates and they've added last minute dates before (they ended up doing 4 dates here in Vegas).

Oh yeah, I'm aware, it's amazing that he still does manage to get out there. The man can't even raise his head up to see the people in the nosebleed seats, but his hands still move on that guitar and he's as sharp as ever (though I don't know how much that is due to backing tracks).

They are still touring.... workin it hard. I don;t think you'll see a new album for at least a year.

flashfire 01-04-2006 04:00 PM

a few of these guys should get together for an 80s tour

Thomas1007 01-04-2006 04:05 PM
