It took United 40 hours to get us home
Monday our flight was cancelled due to "weather" at O'Hare. United said it was an act of god, and so they wouldn't comp us anything. We were rescheduled for Tuesday night.
Guess what? Chicago had no weather issues. Tuesday night we show up and we find out our flight has been delayed, and may be cancelled again. This time it's because of a "computer crash" first, and later it's because O'Hare is "backed up". So, we wait in the airport for 4 hours for our plane to be ready to go, and get to O'Hare. When we arrive, we're told there's like 9 planes waiting on the same ramp, so we have to wait our turn. We sat on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting to get off the plane, and in the process missed our connecting flight. We get off the plane at 11pm and then have to hang out in the airport until the next morning's flight at 6AM. A lot more bullshit went on, but the bottom line is that United did NOT take care of us, and made no effort to rectify any situations or troubles they caused. Even when they made us miss our connecting flight, and everyone on the plane was screwed, the best they could do was make us sit in line for 3 hours waiting for them to tell us to hang out in the airport. AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH! I am never flying United again, and I suggest you guys do the same. :2 cents: |
i saw the news yesterday - the computer network crashed in denver - probably the hub and important to the entire system - sorry to hear you got caught up in that shit
