recommended laptops for $600-1500?

okay, what about just using this laptop to do your websites, etc. Like when your travel? What's a good laptop for that? No hp, acer, etc? Thinkpad, toshiba, sony, etc?

I am also looking for a cheap laptop...basically just to surf the net from the couch so it doesnt need to be much...
