being able to check the mail and get numerous checks motivates me. No scheduled breaks or anything. I work from home. I just get up and take a "break" whenever I want :thumbsup

abadfish 01-05-2006 12:32 AM

I have only been putting in about 1-2 hours a day lately... if that... and it shows. :) I wish I could find my motivation but with holidays, a new apartment and school and all of that it's hard. I need to shut off my phone and lock my door and stay on my computer for a week straight like the good old days and come up with something new that will make me money.

Yeah, checks are motivating, specially when they have alot of 0's at the end.
I work from home too and I too take my breaks whenever I want, but I take too many and then I turn around and the day is over. Gotta work on my break discipline...

FreeOnes 01-05-2006 12:52 AM

25 hours, seriously

do this, put on some headphones, some kick ass music, set up some shit to drink and shit to eat (chips, cookies, whatever snack food stuff), plenty of smokes, if you smoke, LEAVE THE TV OFF. That way, it gives you near zero reasons to get out of your chair.

I recomend getting iTunes and setting that fucker to play all lists. I've got something like 30ish days straight of music. :thumbsup

chaze 01-05-2006 12:58 AM

Latly over 8 a day, but normally about 5 a day.

Business is slow right now at DWHS so I am helping with data mining and upgrades,

Sucks :(

does it even compensate you well working that much?
If you're saying that you work 16 hours daily, then you really need to evaluate how effective your time management is.

reed_4 01-05-2006 01:30 AM

8 hours a day multiplied by 5 in a week.

freepussy 01-05-2006 01:35 AM

So True!!! I got shit done when the T.V. is on... My fiance is in the office at her desk watching T.V. and playing games from 8-11 P.M. or so, they are undoubtedly my least productive hours.

Second she goes to bed, back to the grind... Jamming out to tunes with the T.V. off, lots of soda in the fridge downstairs, always snacks to get through the night, and the occasional run up to the Gas Station to grab a 4 pack of Red Bull when you are having a real tough night.. Slammed 3 of those babies earlier tonight - I'm good for 12 more hours still today, and have the work to keep me busy now ..

I've pulled many 24 hour straight stints, in the days would pull 40 hours straight at the desk ... My scheduled time on the computer is increasing daily again and I am becoming more productive. It is really easy to get lost in your work when you need to. Or if you are seeing the rewards and realize the potential hourly earning rate you could have ;)

Those working less than 10-12 hours a day, I highly doubt are serious about this business - and no, you don't get days off ..
