Though, there is now going to be a leadership challenge. I am leaning towards him keeping his job since the lib dems don't have many other familiar faces and they aren't going to win anyway.

Mmmm.. If he can refrain from staggering up to the podium and is able to utter a sentence without tripping up - does it really matter sarah? Sure, it's a hell of a liabilty to have an alchoholic around, but can think of plenty more.

For example, you remember Lord George Brown? He even looked pissed 24/7 and had this tendency to get truculent! :winkwink: Then we got young Georgie Bush who appears to be doing well under the circumstances.

we've seen the worst from politicians. IMHO a drinking problem is the least of them.
