That one priest was in isolation, still got murdered during what little time the doors were open.

Seen a few documentaries on prisons too where prisoners talk about how doors just magically become unlocked, no guards to be found.

I don't think isolation matters much. Its easy to "distract" a willing guard.

My oldest daughter is 5, and let me tell you this would of never made it to the justice system. No body would of been found ever. He would of been Shark chum off some lonely ocean coast. :mad:

my thoughts in this arent as much as how this man should die - but more on how the young girl is going to live. I hope that they will provide as much therapy and help to her in recovery - which in a situation like this, will take a lifetime as well.

The judge is the guy who heard the case and background - but he's gotta be near the same level of the defendant. A 60 day term of imprisonment is no place near a timescale for the "rehabilitation" the judge is intending. That's gonna take years, if ever.

It's the child who is more a priority for backing and support than the pedo. Bet she is well messed up in her future live.

Got a friend in a US law agency who deals with this stuff - volunteers counselling to victims and lectures on "how it is" etc.

There are plenty damned weirdos out there that are never "captured" and some damned odd relationships that last for many years. It's also amazing how kids families and parents can be so damned abusive. It's far more common than ya may think.

The irony is it "appears" to be a vicious circle where the abused then move on to be the abusers.

One victim.. she was grown and married by the time I knew of her - she was actually "proud" that she had never abused her son. Because of the abuse shown to her in her childhood, was determined to break the "vicious circle" and never be an abuser, but still carries the baggage from her earlier life. It's all very sad shit and ya gotta respect a victim who is trying hard.

My best friend when I was a kid was abused by her uncle & spent years in therapy. She's fine now, married & happy but it kills me to know that this guy is still out there. She doesn't want to be dragged through the court process, which I can understand, but the idea that he could do that to another kid...I don't know what to do about it. He's been investigated after another allegation (by a cousin) & got off. When there's no physical evidence because the victims come forward as adults, it's tough to get the guy behind bars.
