Am I better off hiring an experienced person or a total newbie?

I want to hire someone part time to do some of the tedious stuff I hate doing like downloading content, making galleries submitting them, making free sites and submitting them, etc.

In the past ive tried some of those outsourced foreign employees and my experiences weren't good because the ones I worked with didnt understand english totally and theyre make a lot of mistakes that Id have to correct. And theyre just too pricey for me.

so Im thinking if I just put an ad online looking for a webmaster or 2 to just build and submit for me, then theyre totally new and do it MY way.
but then they'd learn how to do it and steal my ideas and go off on their own.

so im stuck, do I find someone who is already in the industry but has their own habits and might make more mistakes, or do I find someone who is totally new and will probably work for a few months and then figure it all out on their own and leave me?

if they are experienced you will have to pay them more.

I'd hire someone in house for $xx an hour, and they'll do what you need.

I did in the past and got so/so results. It just didnt work for me.
But apparently it works great for other people so Im not knocking it, just saying it wasn't that great for me

just hire 1 of the gfy trolls they got plenty of time on hand so they may do it for even free in exchange of post count or pay them by buying woj for 'em :2 cents:

TheLegacy 01-06-2006 10:30 AM

my 2cents is hire from the industry - you wont have so much trouble during the training period and your not going to face the - "I have ethical and moral problems doing this" shit then have to hire someone else a few weeks later.

well depends what you mean a n00b if you mean someone who may not have all the paperwork behind how much they know who cares, i meet people everyday who were dropouts that do better work then the ones who finished school lol so i say go with the n00b!

Doctor Dre 01-06-2006 11:04 AM

What you should do is put an add in the paper and get somebody locally to do it

pornguy 01-06-2006 11:05 AM

Set up a % instead of a rate.

pornguy 01-06-2006 11:05 AM

ICQ me, and I will pass on some ideas.

maxjohan 01-06-2006 11:11 AM

Don't worry about your ideas. Taking chances is part of being successful. And to tell the truth most times people doesn't belive in more than there own ideas.

With that said, Good luck.

Personally I wish that I could outsource to India. If anyone have contacts there, contact me at ICQ: 172759848

:pimp

Best idea is a flat rate + a percent. No one is going to do this type of work on a pure commission basis I don't think. I mean why not just do it for themself then and keep the whole pie? :2 cents:

clickhappy 01-06-2006 11:14 AM

thanks for the ideas. ill hit you all up later when I get back

Egomancer 01-06-2006 11:44 AM
