PLAYERS BALL PASS PICK UP - AVN/Internext shut down our table - Read if you're regged
 

We had the Players Ball pass pick up location at the LegendaryLars/Smashbucks/OC3networks booth. All 3 companies are also sponsors of this years Players Ball.

So we figured, since it's their party, their booth, why not hand passes out from their location?

I'm thinking their reason is because the Players Ball isn't an official party of Internext, still seems like a strange reason though if all 3 companies are there to network, hand out biz cards, you'd think they're also allowed to hand out their passes to their event from there too.

The Players Ball isn't D$'s party, it's the sponsors party. I provide a service by organizing the event and issuing passes out.

So as a back up, I've loaded up all sponsors with extra passes, hit them up if you were sent a Players Code. Or you can come to our secret location between noon and 1:00 pm. We sent out a mailer last night to all registered guests with the details on where they can pick these up.

The good news is, we only had 250 people pre-registered and we issued about 100 of them already at the show. The rest of the passes were given to the sponsors to hand out. I hope our guests get this message, we want all invited guests to attend.

Spoke to DMoney earlier today.

Tis true his table was downed. But the good news is, seems that most everyone got there tix without a problem, regarding sponsors and sponsors invites most all are taken care of.

Maybe a few stragglers, and I am sure as the moments draw near people are getting the hook ups for the event.

I know D is not gonna post, he is far to busy getting things ready, so if ya do not have tickets hit up a sponsor of the event.

ain't true at all...I have two people calling me frantic as to what is going on, they got one email late last night, and never had a chance to get to the booth the ONE SINGLE HOUR it was open.....now they have no clue what to do.....

There was plenty of time to get Passes before the event.
Plenty of opportunity to speak to Sponsors of the event to get tickets before hand and at the show.

Sounds like yer friends got no one to blame but themselves.

and AVN ..never forget to blame AVN! If it wasn't for them being retarded again, people would have had more time to pick them up today if they didn't get them already yesterday, totally out of D Money's control.

Your buddies had four chances and blew it:

1) Hit up D Money all afternoon yesterday, probably all day yesterday actually.
2) Hit up a Sponsor all day yesterday
3) They got the email last night so they knew where they had to be during the hour today
4) Hit up a Sponsor all day today

But..I hope they make it tonight somehow :thumbsup

Plenty of time and one did not HAVE to go through "The Man" to get em.

Dmoney said it earlier months ago that the event is for the sponsors of the event. Meaning Sponsors got the tickets to hand to thier partners, friends or whome ever they wished to give em to.

Yeah some folks will not get passes. Thats a fact.
The reason why? Who knows, maybe they are not webmasters and thats one of the reasons why Dmoney made the event the way he did.

actually, because he had to work the hustler/vca booth at AEE he hadn't had a chance topick up his tickets yet....he was on his way out the door today when he got the email and did not have time to get there....

nothing major really, you drama queens...

he is just going to go and see what happens at the line, i told him not to expect much, but he can go sit with gonzo and hell puppy by the line and hand out donuts with them

and alien, stop rattling your trap you failed fuck, he is in the industry, far deeper and more than you ever will dream of being...half the people going to the players ball aren't "webmasters"

oh, and let me add, unlike you all, he doesn't read GFY much, so he didn't all the updates for the party on here like we did, and barely any came in email form.....so that is another thing that frustrated him and a few other people

Well, I can say that I made an over run of passes. I was only going to use half the amount of passes I printed. So I loaded up people to walk around and make sure everyone was covered.

I don't send a lot of emails with the Players Ball list. I'm anti spam, so I don't really send out a message unless it's something important at the right time. Our Ball had lot's of questions marks until about 2 weeks before the event. Even the venue went through 3 changes in that final month.

So given that it is CES and you have 2 porn shows going, it was almost impossible to pull off a party of that size and keep it all private until 3:00 am. It's the Friday night of CES, busiest night of the year pretty much. So, I couldn't send lot's of updates untils things were clear.

And for those that couldn't get your codes, I'm sorry you missed this show. I'll make it up to you on the next one. When the next Ball comes around, just send me an email about how you missed us and I'll be sure to take care of you next time.
