24 straight days of rain - nearing an all time record. :(

http://edition.cnn.com/2006/WEATHER/...attle.rain.ap/ <-- article is from two rainy days ago.

BigCashCrew 01-11-2006 10:44 PM

RainMailer 01-11-2006 11:01 PM

Bluewire Ross 01-11-2006 11:06 PM

RRRED 01-11-2006 11:15 PM

I know this is frigging crazy. But yes I enjoyed that 5 min of sun this morning too :1orglaugh What do we have like 3 more months of dreariness?

MrVids 01-11-2006 11:20 PM

bring the rain! i love this shit, it's why i moved here. what a great winter.

Corona 01-11-2006 11:25 PM

I spent 30 days in Vegas, Arizona and New Mexico and got back just in time for this shit. I'm ready to move to Arizona for 9 months of the year and only come back north during the summer.

I'm just waiting for Pat Robertson to say it is gods way of punishing us because Microsoft lets gays have benefits or some such crap.

The backyard is turning into a big puddle.. I hate going out there and it's all "squish squish squish squish"...

I say all of us Seattle area WM's have a little 'Rain' party. LOL
I moved to downtown Seattle to have a nice view. Even overlooking the Sound and all of downtown still sucks when it's this grey. LOL A few days of this is OK, but 25 gets kinda old!

Bama 01-12-2006 12:29 AM

Tempest - what are you up to these days?

I think im still hung over from the last party. That said, ill be there :)

abadfish 01-12-2006 01:47 AM

Rain is awesome... the ski resorts are getting a ton of snow up in the higher elevations!

http://www.skiwashington.com/conditions.php

I'd take the rain over the gusting wind over here on the east side of the state. We are getting rain once in awhile but the 15-30mph wind is driving me insane. At least next year we shouldn't hear about droughts all summer.

Dude, I'll make it to this one I swear. Rain Party 2006!!! haha.
Let's do it!

Centurion 01-12-2006 02:22 AM

How many of you have basements that are flooding simply because the ground is so saturated..the rain literally comes up through the cracks in the concrete floors? I got home from Christmas Holidays to find quite a mess in my basement..which before then..had been as dry as can be!

I honestly didnt even check until i read your post - ack! Thankfully its still dry which is surprising because I live at the bottom of a fairly large hill in an older home and my basement is well underground.

<PHEW!>

I remember my last place however, it used to do what you described above, even with pretty minor rainfall. I can only imagine what the owners are feeling now. :Oh crap

BoNgHiTtA 01-12-2006 03:49 AM

Theer was some sun today, enough for me to take a bike ride around Seward Park. Though I got muddy in the process ;)

And the wind, fuck that was strong coming around the side closest to Mercer. My ears felt like they were going to fall off.

I asked myself for 7 years if it would and it never did so I finally had to get the fuck out

Centurion 01-17-2006 02:12 AM

Didn't break the record of 33 days straight in Seattle. Only made it to 29. Sunday was without "measureable precipitation"..then MONDAY, the MONSOON returned! YUCK!
