So I Went To See King Kong, And Left After 1 hour 30 mins
 

We went to a late night showing. I wasn't really in the mood, and the gf wasn't feeling too well, but we were wanting to see the movie the past few days and decided just to go.

The first 1 hour 30mins sucked ass. Whether or not it was because i wasn't really in the mood, but it just seemed so loud, and so dumb, i couldn't face sitting another 1hr 30mins or whatever it was left. I knew she wasn't enjoying it either, so we both looked at each other, got up, and got the fuck out of there.

First time i've ever walked out of any movie at the theatre.

Does the film actually pick up, or does it just get dumber as it goes along ? I'll settle for waiting on the dvd release before bothering to see it again anyway...

I think that you, much like many GFYer's, are just too hard on... well, everything, but particularly movies.

Standards have gotten set way to high these days. Anything that doesn't meet those exact standards is suddenly the worst piece of crap ever.

It doesn't get better. You did the right thing. You just spend the next 4 hours of the movie thinking, "why didn't I get up and leave 5 and a half hours ago".

(I did have some shitty kid next to me hogging the arm rest though, which was winding me up, so maybe I wasn't in the mood either) :Oh crap

Shit film. Expensive, but shit.

Like i say, i will watch it when it comes out on dvd. I guess i was just not in the mood, and it maybe seemed worse than it actually was.

There was a few moments though when i was like, yeah right...

well it is about a giant ape..lol
