I have a site that alexa has ranked 115,450...and that site gets 6 uniques a day at max....I have never even released it public

no it's not. you know how many sites there are with that amount of uniques? many.

The fact alone Alexa states that if you use their toolbar your ranking will increase says enough. I also noticed some garbage site had the same ranking as I do when I know for sure I get 10 times more traffic compared to that site.
