Here is a detailed rundown to get ready for tonight of what we missed! I found this on the 24 board :thumbsup

I know a lot of people missed the last 10-15 mins due to the Playoff game running over, and the news cutting off the end of Episode 2, so I decided to go back over my DVR and do a pretty detailed last 10min writeup for those of you who missed it. This is by no way offical, but it's at least osmething for you guys. So here you go. BTW I tried to write this up as fast as I could, while trying to minimize grammitical errors or spelling mistakes, so please forgive me if there are some.

At CTU Bill Buchanan and Audrey Raines are talking about the possibility that Jack is innocent and they are missing something as Edgar Stiles stops and informs them that the NSA has picked up some chatter that indicates that the summit (Meeting between President Logan and Russian President Suverov) is a likely target, Edgar informs them that the attack will likely occur within the next 15 minutes and that the source has a reliability approaching 95%. Audrey reminds Bill that President Logan has said he will not postpone the summit, and Bill laments that he may not have a choice. Bill Buchanan then calls Mike Novick.

TICKER: 08:48.50:

We see an all black box-van speeding down the street, and then cut to the inside of the van where many terrorists are loading high powered guns. One of the terrorists is on the phone, and then we see a split screen shot of the terrorist, and the man in the dark room (The same man we saw before, presumably the man behind all the attacks). The man in the room informs the terrorist that he is watching the Russian President?s helicopter leave the airbase, and its? on schedule on it?s? way to the retreat. He informs the terrorist that they will go dark (no communication) until after the strike, and that he will monitor their progress form where he is. The terrorist replies ?Understood? and hangs up, we see the man in the room turn toward a video feed of the Russian President?s helicopter in flight.

Cut to President Logan, Mike Novick and Walt Cummings (the man who was dealing with Martha Logan) walking. Mike informs President Logan that CTU confirmed very good intelligence that the Russian President?s helicopter is a target, and that CTU is updating their recommendation that the summit be postponed. Logan is irritated and speaks loudly to Mike telling him that he is not postponing the summit. Mike suggests that they at least alter the Russian President?s arrival plan, land at another place and bring Suvarov to them via a motorcade, substantially reducing the risk of an attack. Logan snaps back that ?The impact of his arrival would also be reduced? and that he has the media waiting for the Russian President?s arrival 5 minutes from now. Walt tries to cut in but Logan cuts him off, and tells Mike to have the Secret Service and the Air Force ?protect our airspace, and make sure they do the job!?

TICKER: 8:50 to commercial

TICKER: 08:54.25

Jack arrives at the airport with Derek and parks in front of his mom (Diane). Jack apologizes to Derek for treating him harshly earlier and tells him to go to his mom. Derek and his mom embrace and jack exits the car. Diane demands to ?Frank? to know what?s going on, and Jack reveals that his name isn?t Frank, it?s Jack Bauer. He says he lied to her about a lot of things, and he will explain it to her as soon as he can. He gives Diane a piece of paper with an address on it to CTU. He tells them he used to work there and to go there and ask for Bill Buchannan, telling him that Jack sent them. Jack apologizes and says he has to go. Diane asks Jack what she is supposed to tell Bill, and jack replies ?Tell him the truth?. Jack enters the airport and asks a man behind a desk for the baggage-claim supervisor, the man behind the desk points him ?Down that hall and to the left?. Jack thanks him, and heads in that direction.

Cut to CTU: Multi-angle shot with Bill Buchannan, Audrey Raines, Spencer (The guy who slept with Chloe). Audrey says that the DOD still has the airspace cleared for the Russian President?s landing. Spencer remarks that if there is going to be an attack on the helicopter, it will be now. We see a shot of the man in the dark room smirking, and then we see the helicopter land and open the doors/stairs. The Russian President exits the helicopter and meet/greets President Logan. Bill Buchannan watches on TV and remarks to Audrey that ?Our intel must have been wrong?. We see a shot of the man in the dark room still smirking, and then he walks out of the shot.

Cut to Diane and Derek driving out of the airport, they are stopped by a crossing guard for passengers to cross the street, and we see the black box-van parked in front of the airport. Derek watches the van and witnesses several dark clothed figures exiting the rear of the van with big duffel bags and entering the airport complex. Derek asks his mom if he sees the men, and then remarks that they are going where Jack went. He says something is wrong, and he has to warn jack. Derek opens the door and runs out of the car into the airport, with his mother exiting and yelling for him. The crossing-guard stops Diane and tells her she has to go back to her vehicle. We see a terrorist with glasses on looking at his watch, and then he takes off his glasses and walks toward the back of the airport, in the same shot we see Derek enter the airport at the same spot jack did .

Cut to Jack walking down a hallway, and he finds Chevensky?s office (The baggage-claim supervisor). Jack enters the door with his gun drawn and sees Chevensky down the hall. He yells to Chevensky who is startled and Jack rushes him. Jack pins him against a locker and with a gun to Chevensky?s face. Jack demands to know why President Palmer was killed, and Chevensky replies he doesn?t know what Jack is talking about. Jack kicks him a couple of times and says that he is going to answer Jack?s questions, it?s just a matter of how much he want?s it to hurt.

Cut to the terrorist in the airport holding a stick detonator, which he holds up and presses. The black box-van outside the airport explodes, and people in the airport start to panic. Jack turns his back Chevensky and looks out the door to the area of the explosion. Chevensky takes a small pill out of his pocket, and bites it as he places it in his mouth. Jack turns back and yells ?NO? as he tries to remove the pill form Chevensky?s mouth, but it is too late, Chevensky is dead. Jack then moves back toward the door and down the hall with his gun drawn running toward the people screaming. The terrorists kill the airport security men and order everyone on the floor, including Derek. Jack watches a terrorist with an automatic machine gun chase airport patrons past a window in the door in front of him.

Multi-angle shot of jack, Derek, Diane, the terrorists, Martha Logan taking a bunch of pills, Spencer at CTU, Chloe being brought into CTU by 2 Secret Service agents, President Logan, Edgar, and finally the man in the black room. He is on the phone with someone who says ?I have dealt with the Martha Logan situation? I was able to alter the tape of the phone call before the President heard it, there?s no longer any evidence on my end that Palmer was trying to warn he about the attack.? We see the man on the phone talking to the terrorist in the dark room is Walt Cummings, President Logan?s Advisor. The terrorist in the dark room tells Walt to tell him when the hostages are secure, and that it will only be a matter of time until President Logan is notified of the demands.
