darren, why dont you just burn your icq database files onto a cd or upload them from your old computer to the internet? I do it all the time, save you a huge hassle of adding everyone yet again

Doesn't ICQ store your contact list on their servers now? I reformatted recently, reinstalled ICQ, and during setup just did existing user, typed in my UIN and password and my entire contact list popped up seconds later.. it just doesn't save your history logs..

Maybe its only with the newer versions, I dunno.

I used my old HD as slave for new comp with all the ICQ files saved on them tried the DBConvert but wouldnt work! still have it so if anyone as any tips im all hears :)

Dbconverter is a pile of shit.. i swear i have wasted weeks of my life playing around with contact lists and shit.. i hate when you logon and it just disapears....


import your database files manually into the database directories and overright the existing ones... thats what I had to do when I put it on my laptop... I just loaded the exisint user with my laptop and overwrote them with my old stuff..... saved my history and contact lists
