Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out who's got really good gay sites that I can promote?? I've used Zooted, which is only has gay sites, and they're so so.... I've obviously tried sites from some of the major guys too (ARS, TCG, Lifetimebucks, etc...)

Just looking for a good gay program with sites that convert. Post some programs!

That might be true Petr, that larger sites have their "exculsive" content but nothing compares to what www.gaymen.com has done in the past and is continuing in the future.

Sniper, you are right in many things in your post... Gaymen.com is no doubt a very good site... Our two sites have been on since 1997.... And even though Gaymen most probably has more content no one else has on their sites, the other fact is that <a href=http://www.everycent.com>Everycen's</a> payout rates are almost two times higher... :winkwink:

Just a though: Whoever's content is better will have better customer retention.... Do you guys have a recurring partnership program?

First of all I want to say that I'm not here to promote gaymen.com and I don't work for gaymen.com I just an admirer of the site.

I saw the webmaster program you have and the payouts are very impressive. I'm sure you're able to attract many webmasters because of the high payouts, so congrats. The only issues I see is you're paying out: $75 for a trial singup starting in May. Your monthly subscription is 34.99/month. About half or more of your members will cancel and now where are you?

Running a gay payiste is about making money, now the promoters are potentially making more money than the
site owners. The average length of membership is about 2 months these days. Your retention could be a bit better or worse but the bottom line is the site with the best content will retain the members the longest. Obviously I plugged in numbers that I think are accurate, your numbers could be different. I'm not saying that thegaymen.com program is the best, I'm just saying they probably have the best content and seem to have quality as 100% priority and can back that claim up with their work and reputation.

Personally with the payouts you're offering I would promote your site and gaymen.com and enjoy the commissions :)

I agree with you that the site that has the best content retains the most members, however you have to look at the programs being offered and ask yourself is it worth the number crunching.

Majority of recurring % as based on full month memberships. If you were to get 50% of that comission, this member would have to continue for more that 2 months for you to make a decent amount of money.

I personally like the idea of knowing that when a members signs up to a site, it is clean, simple and no calculating %. As a webmaster your job should be done after sending the potential member over so you can concentrate on other money making opps :) And watching the $$$ come in

Sniper, we pay $75 to persuade webmasters to try our affiliate program. Remember, this special rate is for limited time (one day) only. Not every day all year long.

Gaymen.com would definitely be great for a recurring program where content is the king. But as far as I know, they only have per-signup program paying $25 per initial signup... Basically the same kind of program as http://www.everycent.com but with lower payout rates.

Hey, I'm not trying to have a pissing match with you. As I said earlier, I completely agree that Gaymen.com is a high quality site with a ton of exclusive content in its member area, no doubt about that.... They would do great with a recurring program, yes.

Sniper - if you pay-per-sign up, it doesn't really matter to your affiliates how long you retain members for. We get paid the same whether the member stays a few days or a few months.

Chrism: you're correct, I agree! But remember, as the promoter you want to make sure that the site owners are making money and are happy! If they're not making money then all good things will come to an end! This is exactly my point. Promoters only seem to care about who's paying out the most money, that's how they're basing their decision.

If the site owners have 10 pop-ups which is very common in he biz, is that cool? Many site owners make their money back from the pop-ups, that's how they're able to offer such high payouts. There was day when the gay site game had much less competition, now you have the big boys coming in because they heard that gay sites were popular and made good money. I'm sure many of you would agree that a good quality gay site today is usually much better quality than a lot of the successful straight sites.
There has to be a happy medium between quality and making the most money.

Lee, the Altmasters' stats are taken from the Statistician, correct? And they don't test gay-only affiliate programs... They only go for programs with mainstream paysites and IF these programs also have gay paysites in their collection, then maybe they include them in their testing... I have been trying to get our sites tested for months now.

Of course! If the choice is between sending traffic to EveryCent and being paid $40 per sign up and GayMen at $25 per sign up, and the conversions are roughly the same, I'm obviously going to opt for EveryCent.
