Bless the USA's customer service
I'm ready to SCREAM!!!
I just spent 1h 20mins on the phone with Chronopost in France. For 4 days I have been home waiting for a package to be delivered. Been promised each day it would arrive. But what makes it really bad is they keep claiming I'm NOT home!! Stood outside or in my window waiting for it!! NO ONE EVEN CAME DOWN MY STREET! So I call customer service but it is an 08 number (A phone call I must pay 0.15/min) I'm now 30 euro into calls!! I finally found a 01 phone number today (non-paid) NO HELP!! Got Told - "It's not my job... No I won't give you my name... Call the United States because they shipped it... No I won't give you someone elses number... etc etc etc" Bugger wouldn't even give me his name. And they are amazed that I just don't **Forget about the parcel** "Madame if it was important why did you use a courrier? You should carry it yourself!" (Exact words) You know people bash the United States all the time. And heaven knows I've taken my fair number of shots too. But damn!!! This sort of crap would never be tolerated from an American company. I'm going to go on record as saying that when it comes to doing business and customer service... The United States of America just RULES!!!! Perhaps thats a lesson to me... Instead of seeing what America and Americans do wrong all the time. I should appreciate the things they do right!!! (But you're still not forgiven for George Bush.) |
Kelly right?
Hamilton used to be the Rectal Rooter when I used to work at TripleXCash. I think you and I met a few times. It's only American to think badly of an entire nation based on one or two people... but the French are assholes. |

It is like taking your own life into your hands. And yes the customer service is pretty crappy. But when we did have problems I can honestly say at least I wasn't given a phone number that I had to pay per minute. I mean France has a hell of a scam going!!!! If you have a complaint with a company or want any kind of customer service you have to dial the equivalent of a 900 number just to talk to someone. And this isn't like needing tech support on your computer. I could understand that... It's like calling a store to ask their hours or closest location and having to pay 3 euro. (After you sit on hold for 10 minutes listening to elevator music) Well... I finally got my package.... But the final total was: 1) 30 euro in phone calls, 2) a scream fit at the local post office for the chronopost address, 3) Metro tickets, 4) A major 45 minute freak out at the shipping depot. Before somoene got sick and tired of hearin me scream and walked into the back and got my parcel. |
