Steve Martin in The Pink Panther

Peter Sellers as Insp. Jacques Clouseau in The Pink Pather flicks was always a favorite of mine. Tonight I saw that they are releasing it again, which usually sucks, but I think Steve Martin can pull it off.

I look forward to seeing it.

Maxy 01-24-2006 02:47 AM

Yeah I was watching Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for the millionth time recently and it reminded me how capable martin is. Here's to hoping he comes through.

leggs 01-24-2006 02:51 AM

You know I love that series of movies too.
Thank heavens that it's Steve Martin doing it.
I was always worried that some idiot would cast Jim Carry

SGS 01-24-2006 03:20 AM

Remember the mess he made of Bilko. I would be worried...

2HousePlague 01-24-2006 03:27 AM

Steve's kinda old -- I can't see him giving enough to those ambush scenes with the Asian man servant...

Steve Martin WILL SUCK BALLS in this one.
Although he is a great actor ... this movie SUCKS so much that the studio keeps pushing back the realease date although the movie finished filming more than a year ago.

All the test screenings wenr REALLY REALLY BAD and reviews were horrible.

How can anyone think of doing a remake of a Peter Sellers film is something i dont understand.
Its DUMB.

Sarah_Jayne 01-24-2006 03:38 AM

sad to say that Steve Martin hasn't really been funny lately so I am not holding out high hopes

It's a shame what has happened to guys like Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy. They used to be so funny, and now they're anything but.:Oh crap

Steve Martin in his prime. That was some funny stuff.

xclusive 01-24-2006 03:42 AM

I have a bad feeling about this one:( Will watch it though

And then it was all downhill from there.

Steve Martin is really hilarious on this flick
and
i like the pink panther theme song > my cell's new ringing tone

Nydahl 01-24-2006 06:03 AM

there is only 1 Pink Panther and unfortunately he passed away.

ditto

I've always been a Steve Martin fan, and not a Jim Carrey fan...except for that movie he made where he had the black kids. That shit was funny

Wiggles 01-24-2006 07:00 AM

i think its going to suck, it has beyonce, she can't act her way out of a paper bag.

Persignup Dustin 01-24-2006 07:23 AM

Steve's kinda over with, no?

DutchTeenCash 01-24-2006 07:24 AM

saw the trailer a few times, Steve is ok to do it imho but its nowhere near the original true

Stallion 01-24-2006 07:36 AM

But she can help sell a ton of tickets.:2 cents:

xcitecash 01-24-2006 07:42 AM

Steve Martin WAS funny in the 80s

he is not fit to tie Peter Sellers shoes

26MLR 01-24-2006 07:43 AM

I think it'll be awesome. Martin is at his funniest when he is playing a character. (and not himself)

gangbangjoe 01-24-2006 07:52 AM

i've seen the preview in cinema lately and im really looking forward to it

WebairGerard 01-24-2006 01:01 PM

I would think Steve Martin could do it well if anyone can.

je_rome 01-24-2006 05:11 PM

I'd rather watch Steve Martin hosting the oscars than him in his recent sucky movies. I can't believe Cheaper by the Dozen spawned a sequel.

Dagwolf 01-24-2006 05:19 PM

STEVE MARTIN CAN'T DO ACCENTS! Remember My Blue Heaven?
:repuke:

PixeLs 01-24-2006 08:25 PM

I am not really a fan of Pink Panther but I somehow enjoyed watching the trailer.. :)

czarina 01-24-2006 08:39 PM

We saw some clips here a while back, and I almost pissed my panties laughing.

tony286 01-24-2006 09:31 PM

I think it will be a very funny movie

MikeSmoke 01-24-2006 09:34 PM

"Casablanca" with Jim Carrey and Tara Reid??
