do other webmasters send you virises?
 

Everyday some asshole webmasters send me virises.
I think it's the same one but being sent from different sources.

Anything I can do about this? Has this happenned to anyone here? Do they eventually get bored and stop or do they just keep going?

I'd really like to find out who is doing this and show up at their door. :helpme

Try adding a filter in your email program to remove those. I personally have most of my mail screened several times before it hits me, and from what I hear, about 2000 messages a day are tried to be sent to me with viruses. Ask your ISP about running a virus program on their server as well,

Most people send them without knowing,
that is what the virus does, send to everyone in their address book. Most Do Not even know they are infected.
I reply to them all with different subjects like stop sending me this crap, or you have a VIRUS..

wtf is that? This is a company that's known to spam and send out virises?

I think Boneperone sent me crabs.

2 things...

1) Go buy Norton SystemWorks 2002 Pro...

2) Email each addy that sends a virus that they are infected with (fill in the blank)

SystemWorks has Norton Antivirus and it will pop up and tell you what virus is trying to be sent via email and decline the email. It auto checks all in and outgoing email.

Oh and 3) do NOT use Outlook!! lol :winkwink:

well they KNOW theyre sending me a virus. The emails they send to me are addressed "From" me as well as to me. I have to read the email headers to see where the emails really came from.

The emails are like "This is a game, youre the first player, I hope you enjoy".

I hope whoever is doing this get's ass cancer.

Odds are they do NOT know... the virii are set to send decieving mssgs to make you think the email addy it came from meant it to be sent....

And it could be the site has that link up for a reason. Alot of spammers and virus makers spoof email addys from other domains to hide themselves. Don't get in an uproar unless you have the experience to know if you are right. :winkwink:
