Two users working simultaneously on one computer?

Can 2 users use one computer with 2 monitors and 2 mouse and 2 keyboards to work together? So one is doing something in photoshop and the other is chatting on msn?

you can do it go to tigerdirect.com they have what you need but you better have a powerful system

I have another PC in another room but my girlfriend wants to work in the same room.. and my laptop is gone for repairs. My PC is powerful enough to handle two programs.
