agreed, plus the server load would be minimal to integrate this.

RSS feeds require more bandwidth and server load, unless you have a great management system in place, and then that will require additional man power.

TexasDream is only one man....

nah, the ONLY reason why it won't be implemented is that the banner impressions would go down...

that was my idea of the management systems where only certian IPs would be able to feed. but then you are managing the IPs and clients or the Elite

I don't think you'd find too many people using it, and even if they did...it would only be to suppliment their normal usage. That's me, so that's what I'm basing my opinion on.

it would make a board tracker almost obsolete if you can read it through your desktop news reader

I'm not referring to the rss feed. I'd like to see something like this for better viewing on a PDA.

Can the newsreaders read these?

ah gotcha

I think PDA usage would be great especially while waiting for an airplane. Not much of a blackberry guy, but it would be nice having a low bandwidth version for portable devices.

I've seen simple scripts for PHP to convert them to be easily seen on WAP so it wouldn't be too hard to config.

Would work well on any portable device :thumbsup

i thought they had one from before, when they had the news site they showed all the recent posts.

FiReC 01-29-2006 10:51 PM

ever since i discovered the board tracker rss feed, ive cut down on my gfy reading alot, get a lot more accomplished using the rss feed of 20 boards vs 1.
