What to do in Washington, DC
 

For anyone who lives in DC or knows it well. Im going to the hockey game on friday night to see the Leafs play the Capitals. I've been to DC before and know there is alot of touristy type stuff to do.

From any locals - Can you recommend some fun stuff to do/places to go for my girlfriend and I? Also, we're staying at The Madison in DC hotel.. any good? anyone stayed there?

If you are into the artsy stuff hit the museums. Go by the white house, and give GWB the finger while you are at it.

go to the international spy museum. its pretty cool. its near chinatown

The only real thing to do in DC is leave. That place is a hole. though the government sites are nice. Just don't venture too far off the beaten path.

Stay away from the bus station lol.

go down to Georgetown and there is a restaurant called "Nathans" at the corner of M and Wisconsin. At midnight they change the restaurant over to a bar/lounge and spin 70's and 80's records... lots of hot, young chicks and everyone has a great time... they don't throw you out until about 3.

And yes, don't drive yourself around, take a cab/limo. If you end up in southeast start praying to your respective god.

Actually, there is a bar called "Hawk & Dove" on 3rd Street in Southeast that is always CRAWLING with "just out of college" Congressional interns. They're all hot... and broke.

I personally love the Museum of Natural History.

I love driving downtown (sunday drive) & seeing the bodies covered in plastic after a saturday night with the crime scene team hovering around.
