I own
AlleyBucks.com along with
GayMainStreet.com
This board whoring stuff is what I felt needed to be done to get us launched, so I'm doing it. We tried hiring some people but weren't happy with the results, so now I'm doing it myself. It's not exactly intellectual work, but it's a friendly bunch on here, so it's a fun way to pass the time.
I'm actually a pretty serious business person believe it or not. The last company that I owned was a mainstream IT one that was acquired by a NASDAQ traded technology firm about 3 years ago. We did information warfare research for the Pentagon, along with consulting for the FBI and CIA. We also owned an industry board that had about 500,000 registered members on it at the time of acquisition.
I took 2 years off to learn how to scuba dive and enjoy life, then started to get bored. My partner of 7 years suggested jokingly, hey why not start up a porn company next? He nows not to make those types of jokes in front of me anymore because here I am, haha.
So I spent a year doing market research, coming up with a business plan, learning the ins and outs and then launched AlleyBucks about 6 months ago.
Three months ago I realized that most of the gay industry was having to rely on EuropeanLee's board GWW in order to market themselves.
I quickly decided that wasn't a good thing, so now we're pushing hard to make
GayMainStreet.com the new home of the gay adult industry. In just 3 months, we're already tied in traffic with him, and his site and mine are jumping back and forth as the top gay board according to hahahahahahahahahahahaha.com With the support of the industry we should be a solid #1 within the next month or two.
The first 3 sites for
AlleyBucks have done amazingly well, including getting a nomination from CyberSocket. We have several larger exclusive sites in production that we'll be rolling out over the next few quarters.
My long term goal is to have my company help act as a bridge for the straight market into the gay market. Providing resources for the straight programs that are launching into the gay market, I feel, will be a significant asset to us and position us well within the industry.
There, that's me in a nutshell.
Now I need to take my serious businessman hat off and put back on my gay homosexual board whore hat!
Thanks everyone for being so cool!
