What do your sufers prefer to have happen when images open up?
 

Been playing with this a while, but I am not sure what surfers like the most

what do your surfers like better when opening an image on your site?

1. Full size image opens up in a new window - the user clicks an image and it opens a new browser window with the image in there

2. Full size image opens up in the same window - User click an image and the image opens up in that window with no trace of the site except the url in the url bar and the watermark on the image

3. Full size image opens up inline within the site - the user clicks on an image and it opens up inline with the design of the site

did you do a poll on your sites? just a thought :)

yeah, I did, but frankly I only have one site I could do it on that is adult, and it isn't getting much traffic right now, not as much as GFY anyway

Free site or pay site??

If free site, then who cares what they want.. You want to make a sale so open the image on another page with more text etc. to try and get them to buy... If you do it right then those extra pages can also help with the SEs.

You can't do that on a gallery (submitted to TGPs etc.) though because the TGP owners can't check and scan all those pages all the time for cheaters. However, that doesn't stop you from doing that with galleries you'll list on your own sites.

We've never gotten any feedback on that in 7 years, so I've always assumed our members are generally happy with havin' the fullsize pics open in the same window.

I prefer it that way, personally as well.
