Swimming with dolphins...
 

Should I bother yes or no? I'm getting ready for my trip and I've heard a few people tell me it's a waste of time/money...:upsidedow

Urgh I have ALWAYS wanted to do this. I have a friend that did and he said it was an incredible experience.....

I wouldn't pass up the opportunity.

One of my old girlfriend's is a dolphin trainer and does this sort of thing at Sea World's complex in Orlando.

it's awesome....an incredible experience. where are you going? i did it last october in curacao with the island gathering.
if you're going somewhere in the states, most likely it won't be worth it. i did something billed as a dolphin encounter in the keys, but i just got to basically pet a dolphin for $100.

do it, i've never done it personally but my cousin who is located in key west has when the dolphins that were stranded there a few months back he went and helped and got a chance to spend a couple of hours with the dolphins in the water he said it was one of the most amazing experiences of his life...

i think it would be cool man, go for it

In Punta Cana....I hear it's very soothing and relaxing (something I could use) But I feel bad for the dolphins...lol :Oh crap I'm such an animal lover!

Well I suppose if you like fish you'd like it. I have never done it, but I can spend hours watching fish swim. I can't swim though. I'd just sink to the bottom, so Flipper will have to save me.

You wear the bikini of my choice and I'll take you swimming with dolphins in any country you so desire!

Yeah it's great, depending on the place. If you can swim around with them DO IT. If it's just wading and petting I'd wait for the real experience.

I did it a couple years back at Discovery Cove in Orlando. I wish I was able to spend more time with the dolphins but it was worth it. Plus you pretty much stay there the entire day and do other stuff. (Swim/snorkel w/ stingrays and other cool fish and swim on their mini "river".)

My fiance wants to do that on our honeymoon. So looks like we will be. Expensive but might as well give it a shot

That's something i've always wanted to do!

Do it. I had the chance a couple of years ago in Curacao and it was a really remarkable experience - especially if you get the chance to just swim around with them. Just a very humbling experience - one that for the time completely made me feel like a kid again :)
