How to Protect against Just downloading all my videos??!?
 

I have about 5gb of videos in the member section which are very exclusive and unique which will keep good member retention. What I DONT want to happen is for someone to come in and download them all and this piss off.

How can i protect against this?

This is the .htaccess I use .. it prevent access to a whole folder:
be sure to allow access to your own domain though :)

No the person as havign a 3 day trial at the site he as permission to access.

Yep, thats why TRIAL memberships suck.

I have a billing option thats 14.99 for three days, non recurring. That way if their intention is just to get inside and steal your content, at least you're making more than a couple bucks.

Didn't you hotlink movies from people on this board a while ago?

If your members area is setup well they can't download them using hotlinking.
And for sites with alot of downloadable movies I suggest to get rid of the trial.
With a fast connection and "getright" they'll download your 5gigs in no time and cancel the trial.

Or make something like I just did, Download the latest FULL DVD´s to your computer and watch them FULLSCREEN.
