So what are the best deals out there for 100 megabit unmetered servers?

Hi Everyone

I am just trying to get a feeling from some of you webmasters and hosting companies as to the lowest offered prices out there for a managed dedicated server with 100 megabit of unmeted bandwidth. I have never sold this type of package before and I am curious to see what everyone's interest level is.

Even if you don't have this type of plan... but think you might be interested in something like that, post in here and tell us what kind of special you would jump on.

Hosts, users, permission to spam away. If you purchase this kind of plan tell us what you're paying and who your host is!

:)

Cheers

Brad

BUMP for MOJOHOST!!! :thumbsup

sandman! 02-23-2006 12:14 PM

depends on a few things type of bandwith, type of server, is it a 100mbs port or a 1000mbs port.

everyone knows you cant push 100mbs on a 100mbs port if you care about the speed of your sites at peak times.

i have seen $899 on the low end and $3000+ on the high end.

I've always had a preference on a per gig bassed plans simply because my needs have never needed a lot of bandwidth. But I'm sure a lot of gallery and TGP/MGP people would have the need for something like this.

Sure we always publish our prices on our web site http://www.e5hosting.com/basic5.php $1,995.00, but the secret is to contact me and depending on my inventory I will cut you a good deal. (Hint: just mention you're from GFY or know Brad Mitchell and you'll get a better deal) :thumbsup

Respectfully,

Anthony

Brad,

Now its your turn?

Phil21 02-23-2006 09:56 PM

Brad,

Long time no talk.. I don't look at GFY much, but just noticed this thread.

Reflected's current special for "100mbit unmetered" is $1995/mo. No, we don't offer a bettter deal if you contact us. :) This includes a dual xeon w/ hardware RAID1, and our normal fully managed services.

As for the person that mentioned faste vs. gige port - you do have a point. Typically "unmetered" means you get a 100mbit port and go to town, and is what most customers who buy this sort of thing want. However, I have always offerered on our 'unmetered' plans the option of having it uncapped - in this case of course it would be on a gige port. All in the customer's preference.

As for companies that do much less than the above pricing - I honestly don't know how they can and still include competent support/management, but more power to them.
