80,000 bikers in town for the River Run weekend.

The last thing Nevada casinos want is a reputation for gang problems. They've spent many millions trying to project a family friendly image for Vegas and the related properies.

The casinos need to kick some asses over this mess.

80k of people is alot, all being ruff people, is not good.

We attend every year (my wife and kids live in Kingman about 35 miles from Laughlin and my wife used to work in laughlin (hell I did several years ago too).

There have always been fights and rowdiness, but this is the first time something like this has happened.
I was planning on hitting Laughlin to get some flashing biker babe content (titties are constantly on display during the River Run ;))) but we decided to avoid the festivities this weekend.

Everyone has always feared something like this might happen, but this is the first time something like this has happened. It's too bad as it may hurt the event next year and the River Run is always a huge event for Laughlin 9which slows down tourist-wise in the summer time due to the extreme heat (usually gets 10-12 hotter in Laughlin than Las Vegas.

My sister still works in Laughlin at the Ramada Express but was luckily off work when this happened (though the shooting was at Harrah's which is further up the road from the other 8 casinos).

Laughlin is nowhere near Vegas, SD. It's way down the Colorado River. I passed thru that area driving when I moved from the Mojave to Texas.

You're right, but any negative press that has to do with Nevada casinos is going to effect people's perception of Vegas. I bet 50% of the people who read this story in the news are going to automatically associate it with Las Vegas.

Ive been to laughlin before, its a small ass town. usually quiet, it's nice in the summer by the river though.. go ski dooing. its lotsa fun.. But wow that many bikers.. damn, something like this sounds like its the 80s again....

bikers have been on the down low for a while now. Expect some more shit to go down in the next week, probably not in laughlin but somewhere.... I read all the hells angels books, and usually when shit like this happens its just the start.... HA will be head hunting..

No way, they've been fucking shit up, at least in Canada. I read some article about the problems they have somewhere along the US / Canada border with these biker gangs killing each other and innocent people too. Maybe somebody knows more what I'm talking about, but I read about it recently.

well, it is like this. The HA tried changing their image a few years back, but then some asshole from a wannabe club killed an Angel, so they had to toughen up again.

Then a couple weeks ago, the HA were having a big party in NY when the Pagans decided to crash it.

The Mongols and HA have never really been exactly the best of friends, and seeing as how the Mongols have decreased in size so much over the years, I am surprised that one would be dumb enough to walk into a group of them.

I read an article recently that indicated that Montreal pot growers fear the HAs much more than the cops. Nasty shit.

That sounds like a lot of crap. Pot is too bulky to transport on motorcycles. Meth man, meth.
