I understand. When it happened to me I was lifting an old pool wall. Had to weigh close to 200lbs or so... Next morning my balls swelled up to like a softball. Took a few days to go away. Then the pain lasted about a month or so... I was young and stupid at the time. Should of gotten it looked at... |
Start buying extra large briefs..
j/k :winkwink: |
Not sure if that is a hernia. There are 3 types. I had an inguinal hernia repaired just over 1 year ago. It was likely from jujitsu training. Basically my intestine was protruding through a tear in my abdomen wall so i could feel a slight buldge a few inches below my waistline on the right side. i could push the intestine back in (reducable hernia) so it wasn't imparative that I fix it right away. I opted for surgery so I could go back to weight training without worring about making it worse.

A hernia is a protrusion of an organ or tissue out of the body cavity in which it normally lies. By far the most common hernias develop in the abdomen, when a weakness in the abdominal wall evolves into a localized hole, or "defect", through which the protrusion occurs. These may present either with pain at the site, a visible or palpable lump, or in some cases by more vague symptoms resulting from pressure on an intraabdominal organ which has become "stuck" in the hernia. Fatty tissue usually enters a hernia first, but it may be followed by or accompanied by a segment of intestine or other intraabdominal organ. It is generally advisable to repair hernias in a timely fashion, in order to prevent complications which include intestinal blockage, gangrene, and death. Most hernias can be surgically repaired. Recovery rarely requires long-term changes in lifestyle.

it is bad.. painfull and as you wrote it
|
it can be intensely painful at times.. other times just a dull ache.
I know it would feel a ton better if I layed down on my back. I had mine patched up via outpatient surgery in 95 or 96.. took a couple hours and I drove home.. the mesh they used was supposedly experimental and they said it would last 5 or so years. no problems yet. I guess one of the bad things that can happen is the hernia pops out and strangulates fuckin yer shit up big time lol |
luckily i don't know how hernia feels like... hope u're gonna be ok and good u have an appointment with the dock! :)
|
dude, next time if you are gonna lift a heavy stuff wear a tight underwear.
