Porn Friendly roommate wanted - Hermosa Beach

Its time to move back south! I Live in Northern California but will be moving back down to S. California May 1st. I found a beautiful 4 bedroom house 1/2 mile from Hermosa Beach.

I will be shooting some content at the house so a roommate that is in the adult biz is preferred.

The house is 4 bedrooms 3.5 bath 3 story house with garage. Rent is just under 4k a month. So you would need to be able to comfortable paying almost 2k a month in rent plus 1/2 the utilities.

post your contact info here if interested or hit me up at admin AT webventuresmedia dot com

vittle 03-09-2006 02:55 PM

anyone living in the Hermosa Beach area?

baddog 03-09-2006 03:09 PM

I live in the area, but own my home. I heard A1r3k may be moving back

NaughtyRob 03-09-2006 04:22 PM

Damn Hermosa kicks ass. I lived in Redondo for a year. Fun place!

Sosa 03-09-2006 04:25 PM

jesus I couldn't imagine spending 4k just for rent. I suppose out there it is hard to buy with the outrages prices though.

Expo_Vids 03-09-2006 04:37 PM

Big Red Machine 03-09-2006 05:30 PM

Kimmykim 03-09-2006 05:40 PM

seeric 03-09-2006 05:42 PM

Jace 03-09-2006 05:50 PM

You should see some of the rents in NY makes 4k look like peanuts

tony286 03-09-2006 06:12 PM

in atlanta I could rent a very large building for that much lol

I doubt they live around here. Current going price for indoor plumbing within a mile of the beach here in LA is ~600k... anything extra, like a roof, doors, windows, kitchens, bedrooms, off street parking, are priced accordingly.

You might get 1200 sf in some neighborhoods by the beach for 1.3 if you're lucky.

This is also the worst time of the year to be looking to rent beach property, or to buy. Summer's coming, prices aren't falling.

you think? A 4 bedroom beach house in hermosa? Cost 1.2 million minimum without blinking an eye...so say he bought the house at $700,000 like 5- 6 years ago...600,000 mortgage at apprx $600 on a hundred k... = $3600 a month and that is if that is even the price of the house...Plus taxes and few other things like insurance...he is probably just covering expenses. The truth is LA sucks for housing prices. and Yeah everybody here is out of there mind. Fuckin Place is a Zoo...Red you should try the valley not even close to the beach and houses are selling for $800k unbelievable...

Yeah, what city? How long have they owned it? Negative amortization? 40 year loan?

I know two people right off hand who have awesome houses (3+ bedrooms each) on the beach in manhattan beach, and their mortgage is around $1700 a month....

I am just saying if you were to buy a $600k house, your mortgage payment would be way less than $4k amonth if you did it all right and had good credit

manhattan beach, one has lived there for 1 year, the other for 2.5 years

no clue what their financial situation is....my OVERALL point was for $4k a month he could be buying something like that instead of throwing money down the drain by renting

Jace 03-09-2006 06:59 PM

oh, and another point I have to throw in there....

LA SUCKS

Interest only loans don't really count as mortgages for anything but income tax write-downs.

If you can find a 600k house in Manhattan Beach on the beach, I'll bet you 600 bucks that its going to need about a mil in work to bring it up to community standards. ;)

Now if you'd get back to that email we've been having, neither one of us would have time to worry about this thread! :)

well, i may be off for sure...I don't live out there and haven't been out there in years...but my original fact still remains, I think it is silly to rent any house or apartment for that much money

I want a one bedroom apartment on manhattan beach, a black trans am & $300 in cash :thumbsup

chadglni 03-09-2006 08:21 PM

Renting in overpriced cities is not a "terrible" thing to do as some have suggested. Maybe they don't want to be tied to a 4k a month mortgage for half their life?

i never said the houses on manhattan beach were $600k, I was using Manhattan beach as an example

and the $600k was just because someone above me posted $600k....

again, the # $600k and the location manhattan beach never were meant to be put together

read over my posts again man, the whole point of this is people wasting money on rental properties....or shit, just wasting money in general

there are so many cities on the east cost, right on the water, that you can rent for so much cheaper....and the people are nicer, and the traffic is better, and the people are nicer, and there is barely any pollution, and the people are nicer, and the water is much better quality, and the people are nicer

don't get me wrong, I don't think the people as a whole in LA aren't nice....well, wait...yes I do

LA and surrouding cities are shit stain on this earth, and if it fell off the side of the US tomorrow I would not shed a tear (aside from the VERY few kind soul I do know out there)

vittle 03-09-2006 08:27 PM

I love it! Looking for a roommate and I get gfy debate drama.

If you know the area 4k a moth for a 2500 square foot house with 4 bedrooms is a deal. To buy the house you are looking at 2 mill. So renting is not throwing your money away - it is giving you a kick-ass place to live until you can buy a 2 million dollar house and pay 5-8k a month mortgage. I have owned houses and its not all it craked up to be. Taxes and expenses can eat you up faster than rent.

personally, I thought rent was too high when it hit $300/mo so I bought my first home . . . and you could drop off the face of the earth tomorrow, and I doubt too many would care

Actually...you do have a point there. Also, now that I think about it, I'm not sure that I want to live in a house where content is being shot all the time. When I'm not shooting myself, I want to be able to relax and that's gonna be hard to when a roommate is shooting content. I think I'll keep looking.....

wow, that wasn't very nice....you were actually one of the few in that list...you have always (up until now) seemed like a cool cat with a nice heart, and almost every friend I have talks so highly about you..what did I do to get on your bad side?

fact is, we lived in LA for damn near 2 years, and everyone we hung out with or met was just completely lost and soul-less.....everyone was out for something physical....we would meet people and within 2-3 minutes they would be asking what we did and who we knew...always wondering where their next connection would come from

and if they weren't like that, they were just so high stress that they couldn't be around "normal" people

the only exception we ever saw was usually down by the beaches, but even there the stress level is just so much different than it is anywhere else

morruga 03-09-2006 09:09 PM

Me too. I love it here and have some of the best friends I have ever had in my life. I guess lots of people have had other experiences though.

Well, you have to understand that not everybody wants that. I could buy a PIMP place in my hometown for $250k. I'd be living in the rich neighborhood. Lots of land, huge house, nice pool, the works. Believe me I have considered it several times, but I really really like the weather and just everything here, so I'll pay the price.

Shit I'd love to live near Hermosa beach. Plus, a producer/video editor duo would make for a kickass team. But 2k$/month is WAY over my budget :(

Hey Dean...don't let the porn shoots scare you away. I don't want to live in a party house or a house with a shoot going on everyday. I just want a roommate this is cool with it every once in awhile. No worries either way.

Different beaches have different attitudes... Redondo is the red headed stepchild beach, as is Playa del Rey. Hermosa's like fraternity row. Manhattan Beach and Santa Monica are alot more upscale and the attitudes match, especially in Manhattan. Marina del Rey is the divorced and the boat owning. Venice... ah yes, Venice. It's a freak show. I think I'm the most normal person that lives there but I know a couple of processing guys that could give me a run for my money.
