Yup, when that happens, I move south of the border. No point in paying higher taxes and getting paid the same.

Mind telling me what company?

StuartD 03-10-2006 06:10 AM

I still get 1.5 exchange since Natalie is an RBC employee. But I know that won't last forever.

Vitasoy 03-10-2006 06:17 AM

1.139 is what my bank currently shows. Still better then a few days ago though

Brad Gosse 03-10-2006 06:21 AM

Yeah watching the dollar is depressing. I am trying to get as many receivables in this week as I can to get my rate up.

Nice to see it heading back up again.

wedouglas 03-10-2006 07:08 AM

damn it. i loved the days of 1.5 to 1 :/

Brad Gosse 03-10-2006 08:44 AM

My best rate ever was $1.66

I would kill for that rate now

Pete-KT 03-10-2006 08:50 AM

corporate taxes are lower in Canada, and personal income taxes are getting lower too.

Plus there's no partiot act in canada :)

You mean 1.15

If she's getting you 1.5, someone is going to jail.

Signed up for an account last year. Usually gets you a point or some better than the teller rates. The more you trade, the better the rate.

Just checked and you can sell 10,000usd at 1.1526.

Been buying daily now for 3 days...looks like today will be the top out point. Hard to say if it will stay this strong through the weekend or not...

King Adam 03-10-2006 02:22 PM

Maybe I should go to Canada today and change over 10K or so.

Do you really think the rate will be even by the end of the year .. even money?

webgurl 03-10-2006 02:24 PM

if you wait few months you'll see an increase of
5 :2 cents: .
