Why do you strip refferal codes from links ?

If I join an affiliate program I purposely click on someone elses webmaster link. I dont care who I click on but I just makke sure I do. I like it that someone will check in their stats and see a nice bonus their courtsey of me.

Alot of people just cant stand the thought of knowing that someone else is gonna make money by sending you somewhere. Personally, I never strip them. I dont mind spreading the wealth a little bit.

If I find out about a program from someone with a ref code, regardless of how I came across it, and I'm interested enough to actually join - then why would I want to take anything away from the person who helped me find it? Geez, it's not like I'm gonna lose anything by doing it. Some of you guys kill me.
