How Do These Crazy Fucks Not Kill themselves More Often? (pics)

I was never really familar with the whole free style moto thang until I got hired to coordinate a festival. These guys are out of their fucking minds. How do they not die more?

Yeah, they practice in a foam pit but some of these stunts seem like straight
death if you don't land it.

Empress_JoinRightNow 03-15-2006 09:16 PM

That's what keeps them movin'. They are not afraid to risk their lives for the sake of their sports. Risking their lives is a GREAT adventure for them. I admire them a lot.

reynold 03-15-2006 10:21 PM

I wanna try those extreme sports at times.

I had an aquaintance who was a pro moto-x racer.. he had sever friends who died on their bikes.. if they dont die they end up walking away from the sport with rediculous amounts of injuries. Most of them have broken just about every major bone in their body multiple times.

One of the top guys Travis Pastrana came up short on a jump a few years ago and compressed his spine on impact... the doctors said he would probably never walk again.. now hes back out there still winning competitions.

I thought I had balls riding my freestyle bmx bike on ramps all these years.. these guys are making me look like a wuss:(

BusterBunny 03-15-2006 10:28 PM

the better question is what the hell happened to steve gutenberg.

Ok, that makes sense to me. :helpme

Bob_cougar 03-16-2006 03:05 AM

plus, they earn their living for those stunts.

alec 03-16-2006 03:13 AM

I think what separates these people from amateur bikers is that they are quite prepared for those bad landings..

je_rome 03-16-2006 03:24 AM

They are too much in love with their chosen sport that they won't mind risking their lives for it.

PussyTeenies 03-16-2006 03:26 AM

because they actually fly :P

sex69 03-16-2006 01:10 PM

Extreme sports are a kind of addiction.

Ivana Fukalot 03-16-2006 01:13 PM

They are absolutely crazy , but so cute!!!!!

mahoney 03-16-2006 03:17 PM

After I crashed once I would never do it again. I always laugh when shark attack victims are back in the water as soon as they heal :1orglaugh

Z 03-16-2006 04:17 PM

fuckin' maniacal

reginaldo 03-16-2006 04:20 PM

you would be suprised how much punishment the human body can take.. the freestyle guys are only doing 3rd gear jumps.. check out the free ride videos and the guys are doing 5th and 6th gear launches from hillcrest to hillcrest.. now that is where you might be risking it all

DeloreanRider99 03-16-2006 04:22 PM

I wouldnt consider motocross or freestyle to be deadly. Broken bones for sure though.

Scott McD 03-16-2006 04:25 PM

I can do that shit on my bike...

Wiggles 03-16-2006 04:47 PM

i know a few people who do that, they occassionally get hurt, it amazes me they don't break bones like every fall.

tristan_D 03-16-2006 06:49 PM

it's the thrill that keeps them going
