Snitches snitching
Needs to fucking stop.
I say: if it doesn't affect you or your bottom line directly or anyone you care about then leave it alone. You'd be pissed if someone fucked with your money, right? When you find someone doing something and you out it publicly, you don't look cool for finding it - and even if you do it's for a few minutes. But for the person who's operation you just fucked up or exposed you're wasting work done and causing more work to come down the pipeline. Adult has enough enemies without people trying to fuck each other's operations up for showmanship and other no good reasons. :2 cents: /rant |
... and good morning to you too, sir.

Live and let live. Lots of asshats around here trying desperately to fuck people up. Usually jealousy I'd say.

Scammers, might not be hitting me but I care about others too sometimes. Shaving, might not be hitting me but I care about others too sometimes. etc, might not be hitting me but I care about others too sometimes. |
So it is ok if someone is ripping off someone other than you?

By "snitching", do you mean pointing out someone doing something illegal or against TOS or similiar?
|

Give some examples of something that is shady that doesn't effect other webmasters... or the entire industry in general for that matter.
Spamming is one of the big reasons why the government has come down so hard on us. Rebill scams and stuff like that are why we feel the wrath of Visa. Like I say, name some things... |

The problems govt. is trying to find with adult is a seperate issue than spamming imo. |

Consenting adults making porn for other consenting adults has never been the problem. It's the unwanted exposure to porn's mere presence that causes certain very vocal people to fly off the handle and demand that the government take action. These are the same people who are offended by packaged porn magazines being for sale at the gas station. Even if they don't actually see XXX images, just the idea that it's there is enough for them to sound off. When spammers hit grandma and soccer moms, you are just reminding them again and again that it's there. You are creating a compelling reason for them to fight the war on porn. Whereas if they don't see it in their email, chatrooms, PM's, search results, etc... out of sight, out of mind. No complaints, no government action. As for your theory of AOL targeting spammers to eliminate competition, that is just rediculous. One of the most vital aspects of AOL's marketing is that they help to create a family friendly environment online. You can't do that and also let through all the porn spam. |
Matt I bet you run around miserable all day every day. Everything seems to bother you to no end.

If I saw someone cheating google spots I would be a snitch. Google is a bit part of my daily life, and Google SE spots/hits is a big part of the business I'm in.
Now, for example. If I saw someone roll through a stop sign, litter, park in a fire zone. I would just go about my business and not even think about it again. |
