CPanel administration question...
Question about CPANEL Mates....
When I try to move an existing domain to another IP on the server... it will not let me... It only allows me to move that domain to an IP on the server that has no domains on it. Please advise what I may do?? Thanks |

I will only give you a unused IP . That is the way it works.
Otherwise, you can modify your IP table by logging in in SSH. Sucks. |
Change the IP in the DNS zone in WHM, then log into SSH and change the entry in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and restart httpd and named.
If you have resolved the domain in the last few hours, you (or your ISP) will probably have it cached so it will take a few hours before you see the change. New visitors will go to the new IP right away. To avoid this you can also just copy the virtual host entry in httpd.conf and have the entry on both IPs, the old and new. Hope this makes sense. |
