We are attempting to help send a teen to Washington, DC for a week.

goodgirl's son's class is going to Washington, DC for a week, and the family of one of his classmates can not afford the cost, so we thought we would try and help out.

This experience includes a stop at Gettysburg then Washington DC. Doing a night tour of memorials, visiting Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon, an evening at ESPN Zone, going to the Smithsonian and much more.

Thats awesome. The local highschool kids from here take a similar trip to DC every few years.

Our school is pretty small. It is an 8th grade trip, if they get enough kids. Which they did this year.
