ICANN Response to GAC Communique and Recent Communication ( .XXX update )
ICANN's site just updated:
www.icann.org ICANN has posted responses to recent GAC communications concerning the proposed .XXX TLD Its quite a long letter and from my understanding it basically says that they are still debating .xxx and no final decision has been taken, but they reserve their right to accept .xxx even though there's opposition from GAC regarding it ( GAC = governments ). |
thx, cant open it tho... god damn pdf's :1orglaugh
|
that doesnt sound good....
|
What scares is they are going to approve it just to show we can do what we want to do.

The only thing I'd worry about is the US gov REQUIRING use...which ultimately would 'likely' be knocked down by the courts... <would have to cross fingers with the new 2 conservatives onboard> There should be no tld requirement without a 'filter' registration option so that .com's etc could have the same effect that they are SUPPOSEDLY after. Not backing the ICANN extortion scheme. Can they be any more obvious? kneegrow please |
I hope that we would win this battle against that .xxx
bump for the others to know. |
Everyone is against it, except those making money of it :upsidedow
