My first album coming out this summer
 

Most of you don't know this secret, maybe 2 or 3 of you, and those who write checks to Rising Music, Inc. I run a very private indie record label here in Dallas, and surprisingly have one signed band. This project actually gets about 95% of my time, which I used the money made from my first site College Sucks to help start. Well, Joe's Traffic actually funds it all now minus what I make off the first band. I've spent the last 5 years learning as much as I could; recording, composing, producing, etc. Now the end is near. Today we finished writing our songs, have picked the best 20 (56 total), and the first album will be out this summer. All that is left is recording.

This is a warning, I hired some professional guns from LA to work on this project. This wont be some cheap ass music, I'm bringing back 90s alt rock. One reason it's taken me 5 years to complete is because I'm very picky and wasn't going to settle until I got exactly what I wanted.

To show my appreciation to this industry helping me in another, everyone here is invited to the big party I'm going to have here in Dallas. To those who can't make it, I'll mail you a free copy. I haven't set a date, but I'm thinking Aug. I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't land on another event.

20 songs on ONE album? How long are the average song?

Good luck anyways... My band has recorded 2 albums and 2 singles, so I know how much time and energy it takes. But it is SO worth it! :)
