See other boards don't expect drama or arguments to arise so they see no need to restrict their members from changing their posts.

Actually it can avoid some drama.

If people keep taking back what they said, that can easily lead to a lot of drama.

I know of some boards where even though there is an option to edit your posts it's considered kinda wrong.

Intresting point. But I think you can edit your posts for like the first three minutes or something.
