Interesting concept. You keep the gains. If you 'lose' -- government steps in and absorbs the losses, you don't lose your investment.

as long as only the poor are able to invest then sounds like the idea has potential, more as a social scheme than an investment idea.

The guarantee is also good for only 2 years.

that's pretty cool, but really, chance of losing money if you invest in a diverse fund over a 2 year period isn't very high....

Mutual Funds were good 10 yrs ago. Now theres too many funds , too few good fund managers. The real good ones are closed to new investors. I guess the government wastes soo much money, atleast they'll hedge with the market.
